Andrew had a trip on September 29 with Mike and Wayne floating the upper West Branch from Stilesville to Barking Dog. The guys had a great day with streamers and with yellow drakes. The yellow drake is a sleeper upper West branch hatch that occurs during September. Since the upper West is so cold, it delays this hatch until the fall. What I believe happens, is when the Cannonsville Reservoir "flips over" and water temps rise (usually in mid September) it triggers this hatch that normally occurs on most of the other area rivers such as the Beaverkill between mid June and Early July. Highlights below. Congrats Mike and Wayne!
