Backing comes free of charge with each reel and spool ordered. When specifying right or left hand, please remember it is the hand you actually reel with, not necessarily your dominant hand. If you're interested in a particular color of backing (white or orange), please specify in the comments section of the checkout, otherwise we will choose.  6 weight reels and under receive 20# and 7 weight reels and above receive 30# dacron.
