Country Haven Lodge offers fly fishing on one of the most notable Atlantic salmon rivers in the world, the Miramichi. The lodge is nestled on 100 acres of private land along the river. They offer comfortable 4 star lodging and delicious home cooked meals. Satellite TV and internet access is available for those who need to stay in touch. Country Haven is located approximately 2 miles from the Village of Blackville and 20 miles from the City of Miramichi.
At Country Haven it's just you, the river and the King of Fish. Upon arrival, you will be picked up at local major airports (Moncton, Fredericton) and transported to the lodge perched on the banks of the beautiful Main Southwest Miramichi. Once settled in you will fish private waters with experienced local guides who will take you to the best fishing spots. Country Haven is also located within 25 minutes of 6 other salmon rivers and works closely with 3 other fishing lodges having access to each other's fishing pools. It is your chance to discover why the greatest baseball player - and one of the best fishermen of all time, Ted Williams, made this area his summer home for over 30 years.

During your stay at Country Haven during Tight Lines' weeks, spey casting classes will be held by Andrew Moy. Andrew has many years of experience spey casting, teaching and fishing the waters of the Miramichi system. This is an excellent way to learn how to spey cast or to get brushed up on your existing technique.
During the early Summer run, which general begins around mid June, big and small bright salmon and grilse begin to enter the river. This time of year, both wet and dry flies can be fished. These fish are fresh and strong!
During the fall the numbers of fish in the system have piled up and a secondary run of fall fish enter the river to join the earlier summer fish. Many of the fall fish are big hook-bill males, sometimes 20+ pounds!
