Berry Islands, Bahamas
Excellent wading - Big Fish - Unique Experience
2016 - TBD
Join hosts Andrew and Nancy on a non-lodge bonefishing adventure to the Berry Islands, Bahamas. After several years of experience in the Berry Islands, they now want to share this experience. They're looking to be joined by only 4 anglers with moderate to advanced bonefishing skills to explore an incredible fishery that is not well known, but by the few that do know, is cherished. Come with them on a journey to one of the greatest bonefish destinations in the world.
Situated to the north and east of Andros Island, the Berries provide something different; a diversity of flats from hard wade-able sand and grass to backcountry marl infested by heavy shouldered and arguably the biggest on-average size bonefish in the Bahamas. Here, the bonefish average a legitimate 4-7 pounds with opportunity daily for fish in the double digits. If you have fly fished the Bahamas before and you're looking for something unique and different, this is your trip!
Your home for the trip will be perched 45 feet above and overlooking Great Harbor Bay. This is a beautiful and unique home and property with Bahamian flare featuring vaulted ceilings, private dock (where your guide will pick you up each day), freshwater pool, pool table, bicycles and kayaks. The property also has wifi, phone, fax, satellite TV and surround sound for your convenience and entertainment.

Each day, after a hearty breakfast and packing your own lunch from a spread of delicious food, your guide for the day will pick you up at the property's dock. Legendary head guide Percy Darville and his brother Joe will take you to some of the most fertile flats in the Bahamas. Due to the abundance of food for the bonefish and proximity to deep water, these fish are just plain bigger and Percy and Joe will take you to them. You are also very likely to see tailing fish daily as these grounds are ideal for wading in shallow water and finding tailing fish.
As part of our commitment to help our customers learn and grow with the sport, shop owner Andrew Moy will be offering free instruction during the late afternoons for those who would like to brush up on their casting skills as well as their approach to pursuing bonefish on the fly. Andrew has 20 years experience fishing in the Bahamas, teaching fly casting as well as the skills necessary to be a successful flats fisher. The tides this week will be ideal in the evening to continue pursuing bonefish after the day with your guide is done, if you so desire.....or just kick back and relax in paradise!
We hope you'll join us on this exciting trip during March of 2015!
