Why Tube Flies
Tube flies offer the angler
many advantages.....
- Hook more fish. Your
hook will ride at the back of the fly so you get short taking fish.
- Lose less fish. Tube
flies use short shank hooks, which stay in better then long shank hooks.
- Change out the hook.
When your hook gets rusty, dull, or broken tie on a new hook and you have a
new sharp clean fly.
- The fly will separate from
the tube when you hook a fish and ride up the line, helping to keep the fly
from getting destroyed from sharp teeth. i.e. Bluefish, pike, steelhead,
trout, salmon, etc.
- Use weighted tubes for
probing the depths.
- Create flies in multiple
parts. You can add or subtract sections to change size and/or colors.
