Turneffe Island Resort, Belize

Join Tight Lines during the Spring of 2012 on a trip to Belize. We will be hosting this trip to Turneffe Island Resort  the week of April 14th - April 21st. This is a great time of the year to pursue bonefish, permit, and a wide array of tropical species. 

Turneffe Island Resort in Belize is rated as one of the top fly fishing destinations in the world. World class fishing flats are located 5 - 20 minutes away from the lodge where you can find large numbers of both bonefish and permit. Tarpon, snook and other species can be found in the surrounding creeks especially at night. The Elbow presents the opportunity to fly fish in deeper water for resident permit which can weigh between 15 and 45 lbs. Jacks, snapper, and mackerel also can be found in the waters near the Elbow.

The resort is a catch and release only lodge which offers you an exclusive fishing experience. Due to the secluded southern Atoll location and maximum anglers per week of 8, the creeks and flats in Turneffe Atoll are packed with fish. 

Cruising around on Dolphin Super Skiffs (50 Hp 4 Stroke engines) provide maximum comfort and speed around the Atoll and open blue water. The fishing program is built around the Flats Management Program offering runs from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm daily. Night fishing is available too and we had a lot of fun sticking tarpon up to 40lbs while doing it. Permit can be had at night as well when fishing the lagoons.

Rate: $2100.00 + 12.5% Tax for 7 nights and 6 days of fishing. (Rate was reduced from $2700.00 to $2100.00).  Turneffe double booked our week and since we had to change our dates, they discounted the trip for us.  This is a great opportunity to get down for a great rate!  **We also received 4 free nights of tarpon/permit fishing (A value of $75 per night).

What's included:
Travel from Belize City to Turneffe Island, clean air-conditioned accommodations (double occupancy), meals, and guided fishing + (**4 free nights of tarpon/permit fishing). 

Not included:
Airfare to Belize City, alcoholic beverages and gratuities.
