Join Tight Lines during the Spring of 2011 on a trip to south Andros Island.
We will be hosting this trip to Andros South Lodge the week
of March 26th - April 2nd for 7 nights/6 days of fishing. This is the best time of the year to pursue bonefish.
Andros South offers fishing and relaxation at its' finest.
Some of the best flats in South Andros are a short boat ride from the lodge. What you'll find when you arrive
are Large bonefish, vast spaces, endless stretches of flats and few people.
The lodge provides excellent opportunities for wading on hard sand flats or fishing from flats
skiffs for primarily bonefish, but also permit and tarpon. There are also other species to fish for such as
barracuda, jacks, and sharks. Creeks that bisect South Andros provide sheltered fishing and also offer access
to the west side of the island. The bonefish in Andros average 3-5 pounds, 6-9 pound fish are often caught, and
10-15 pound trophy fish are seen and at times caught.
The lodge is in a quiet location right on the ocean with a picturesque beach.
Beautiful white sand beaches stretch north and south.
The native people make the experience even more enjoyable as they are extremely friendly and pleasant to be around.
They are also excellent cooks, as the local cuisine at the lodge is fantastic!
